(English) Making Tortillas

This experimentation session in the kitchen was a great experience for me. It was the first time I approached the process of making tortillas.
I bought a package of Maseca dough and I followed the instructions. At first I was using a normal pan but then Stefani suggested me to use a cast iron one, and it worked way better.

For pressing them I used the “Poetry Printing Press” that I built the last semester. I went full circle because the shape of it was originally inspired in a tortilla press (?).

I will probably stay with this tortilla-making process, now I have to decide how I am going to “write” on them (stencils?), and most importantly how I am going to perform. There are too many things to say, I should start writing my script…

Here are some photos of the process.
